I've noticed a trend in political speak that is making me nervous. The use of words that used to be reserved for tyrannies and dictators are becoming common in today's talk about government positions.
The word Czar stands out. The "Health Care Czar", the "Financial Czar," etc...
This word use to mean the absolute dictator of Russia. Is this the world we want our children growing up in? Where government bureaucrats are "all powerful and absolute" dictators in their departments? How long is it before we replace the republican ideal of President of the United States with a Dictator even if the name stays president? I don't think today's society her in America is very far away from demanding dictatorial powers for the President. Many already seem to think he has these powers.
I don't like it one bit. I see no desire for freedom and indiviuality anymore in society at large these days.
